Service Specialist

Role Purpose

To provide technical service and account support to key industrial water treatment customers, ensuring treatment programmes are effectively managed, optimised and delivered in accordance with contractual and customer requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, protecting existing business and identifying opportunities for sustainable account growth.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all weekly reports are updated and send to the customers
  • Ensure all treated systems are treated properly, and enough stock is always on site.
  • Ensure monthly chemical orders are placed correctly and according to the Forecast
  • Attend to RO plant, monitoring, trouble shooting and CIP’s
  • Compile and present monthly review meetings with key site management personnel
  • Ensure all accounts are paid up, if not to follow up and make sure accounts are not blocked
  • Healthy growth of account margins and additional sales
  • Ensure housekeeping and Safety on all
  • Quarterly and yearly budgets for all accounts
  • Yearly price increases on all accounts

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 with Maths and Science
  • Tertiary Qualification – Diploma in Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Egineering
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Cooling water - basic chemistry, boilers. Deposition, micro and corrosion theory.
  • Site Servicing (Control equipment, calibration, dosing pumps, water chemistry)
  • Valid drivers license
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint\
  • Analitical water results interpretation
  • Account management
