Purpose of the Job

To support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment in an organisation

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • To assist the Artisans on all jobs.
  • To assist Artisan to carry out planned maintenance and attend to breakdowns.
  • Provide support to technicians and artisans as required
  • Dig electrical cable trenches.
  • Work on new installations, equipment modifications and projects assigned by Foreman.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Ensure that all the company’s Safety, Health and Environmental standards are adhered to.
  • Report faults and assist with repairs
  • Maintain good workshop practices
  • Ability to perform standby duties and work overtime as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • N3 or equivalent techincal qualification in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation
  • Must be familiar with all tools and equipment including test equipment used by Electricians/Instruments.
  • 0–2 years’ relevant experience in Electrical maintenance and Instrumentation support
  • Must be able to perform standby duties and work overtime as and when required.
  • Valid driver’s license
