Systems & Process Excellence Manager

The role will be responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement for systems and process projects within the Financial Shared Services function. The role has the mandate to drive process, system, policy, and data structure initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Takes control and responsibility for finance shared service process and systems excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assists with the implementation of a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of process improvement initiatives
- Identify and manage the collation as well as the assessment and prioritisation of potential improvement opportunities in line with the governance process
- Co-ordinate the communication of service challenges, actions, improvement initiatives and outcomes to stakeholders
- Develop strategies to ensure simple, standardised, efficient, and cost-effective processes are used for financial processing
- Manage FSSC system interfaces and integrations, and recommend process areas of improvement
- Develop strategies to ensure delivery of projects and large-scale pieces of work within the given resource, time, and budgetary constraints. Effectively embeds projects into the business as usual whilst ensuring minimal disruption
- Develop strategies around financial systems infrastructure to ensure optimal finance performance.
- Manages and drives the execution of process excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provides guidance in the development of an initial point of view on the analytics and data management requirements needed to support the FSSC function
- Identifies and recommends location specific and company-wide improvement initiatives and opportunities
- Program manages (with the respective process owners) improvement opportunities and work efforts ensuring scope clarity, milestones are met and measured; risks are assessed and mitigated, and budget is adhered to.
- Provides guidance to the order to cash and procure to pay process owners in terms of the definition, implementation and monitoring of the respective policies and processes (including the supportive technology and data structures) where necessary
- Act as the custodian and key point of contact for all FSSC processes or system enhancement
- Work with key business stakeholders, process leads and business partners to build a continuous improvement environment
- Build and maintain a good relationship with key service providers

- Develop and implement training initiatives for staff to build and develop skills within the team
- Ensure open communication channels to staff and implement change management interventions where necessary
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12
- Must hold a BCom Accounting or BSc Process Engineering qualification
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualification
- 5-7 years’ process improvement or relevant experience including supervisory/management experience
- SAP FI/CO consulting experience essential
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC6
