Solutions Architect - Network Infrastructure & Cloud

The Network and Cloud Solution Architect plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network and cloud infrastructures to meet business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• • Network Architecture Design: Designing scalable, secure LAN, WAN, WLAN network architectures.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Developing cloud solutions aligned to business objectives (Azure/AWS/GCP),ensuring security, scalability, flexibility. 
  • Security & Compliance: Implementing controls to protect data and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies.
  • Integration & Optimisation: Enhancing existing network and cloud technologies for improved performance and reduced cost.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategy Alignment: Working with Group Enterprise Architecture and business teams to ensure solutions support GIT strategy
  • Implementation rate of new technologies within cloud and network solutions
  • Measuring delays in data transmission to optimize performance
  • Effectiveness of transitioning applications and data to the cloud
  • Efficient management of cloud expenses to reduce unnecessary costs
  • Ensuring stable connections and minimal downtime

Qualifications & Experience

• • Bachelor’s Degree – A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or any related field.
  • Extensive (10+ years) experience in networking, cloud computing, and IT architecture: Design, build and optimise fit for purpose architecture artifacts

• • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional – Focuses on designing complex cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert – Covers Azure-based cloud architecture and implementation.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect – Specializes in Google Cloud architecture and optimization

• • Networking Certifications

• • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure – Validates expert-level networking skills. advantageous
  • Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching Expert (JNCIE-ENT) – Focuses on advanced networking solutions. advantageous
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization Design (VCAP-NV Design) – Covers network virtualization
  • CCIE or CCNP

• • Cloud Platforms – Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• • Networking – Strong knowledge of Software defined networks, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Security & Compliance – Experience with security frameworks, encryption, and regulatory standards.
  • DevOps & Automation – Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
