Purpose of the job
General maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment in a plant and workshop environment. Provide instrumentation support to plant.
Required outputs: Functional
- Perform Schedule/Preventative maintenance tasks to minimize plant down-time
- Do improvements, new installations and modifications to plant & equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns
- Ensure safe operation of plant & equipment
- Perform general housekeeping tasks
- Must be prepared to work overtime and standby as and when required
- Must be in posession of valid driving licence
- Must be able to work at heights or in confined spaces
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- Proven planning & fault-finding ability
- Must be able to obtain a certificate of fitness
Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements
- Grade 12 with mathematics and Physical Science
- Instrumentation trade test certificate (red seal)
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- DeltaV general fault finding and maintenance experience
- ABB Freelance general fault finding and maintenance experience
- Burner experience will be advantageous
