Process Operator

To work as a shift operator to fulfil the manufacture of adhesives, road binders, tackifier and emulsions at a batch process plant, under the guidance of the plant’s Senior Process Controller.

Required outputs: Functional

• Operate various distillation circuits, whilst adhering to strict SHE standards.
• Monitoring plant conditions & making adequate adjustments when necessary.
• Sample run, optimise yields and improve efficiencies under the guidance of the to shift SPC.
• Carryout plant corrections following utility testing to enhance utility conditions.
• Carryout vessel & tank transfers to enable the Oleochemical / distillation process.
• Work in other areas if and when required.
• Drive a forklift if and when necessary.

Qualifications , Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12.
• Preferably NQF Level 4 in Chemical Operations.
• Must have at least two years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Focuses on attention to detail and show keen interest to learn.
• Literacy of MS Office will be advantageous.
