Warehouse Operator & Driver

Purpose of the Job

To assist in controlling Engineering spares by timely receiving, storing , picking, issuing and delivery to sites, local, Cross border and front end units

Required outputs: Functional

• Responsible for ensuring that the correct number of parts received
• Offload products from vehicles and move into the stores
• Pick and assemble parts from pick list/reservations
• Operate a Fork Lift when necessary.
• Movement of products between sites and magazines
• Collection/delivery of spares
• Ensure appropriate equipment and consumables are available and in working order. Reports defective equipment to the Team Leader.
• Provide assistance and support to the entire warehouse team to ensure a smooth operation.
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
• Responsible for good housekeeping in and around the stores at all times.
• Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Code 10 Drivers Licence Required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in storekeeping and material handling knowledge gained either by studies or by experience in a stores environment.
• Be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to carry out mathematical calculations
