Technical Support Technician: Electrical

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To implement continuous improvements, mechanical design and fault analysis designated to fully automated machines to meet specific performance criteria in respect of safety, people, production, quality and engineering availability. Provide high-level support to the shift artisans and the specialised engineering maintenance team.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant engineering diploma or degree.
• A minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment, depending on the area of responsibility
• SAP experience will be advantageous.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:

• Comply with Safety, health, environment and Quality standards
• A good understanding and knowledge of safety and quality standards and the mechanical processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced computer operation.
• The ability to work with their hands.
• Concern for engineering standards, with a particular emphasis on safety and quality.
• Understands the business implications of actions and decisions (cost consciousness).
