Machine Operator x 11

Fixed Term Contract: 12 Months

Purpose of the Job

To manufacture PowerBoost Boosters/Primers so that we can supply the external customers (Mining industry) whilst applying basic quality control, maintenance and planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety checks and process Pre-start ups
• Maintain quality standard and understanding of process quality gates
• Carry –out first Line Maintenance of the machinery
• Carry out visual inspection, screening, weighing, sampling, recording and analysing results from specifications
• Product selection input into the computer system, production booking
• Basic knowledge of operational machinery
• Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
• Train and understand to Testing Facility

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 with Maths and Science

Skills Requirements:

• Technical knowledge (from practical experience) of specific machines in area.
• Working knowledge of SHE requirements in respect of an explosives manufacturing environment.

Specific experience required:

• Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
