Strategy Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis and Problem-Solving

• Conduct rigorous evaluations of business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Apply project management principles to plan, implement, and oversee strategic initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.

Strategy Execution

• Monitor, track, and report on the execution of strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Analyse performance against agreed targets and evaluate whether implemented strategies are delivering the intended outcomes.

Risk Management and Mitigation

• Identify risks that may impact process improvements or strategic project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and update the Strategic Risk Register and engage with relevant compliance stakeholders.
• Assess dependencies and delivery risks associated with strategic initiatives.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

• Ensure consistent and effective communication regarding the status and progress of strategic programmes.
• Maintain project charters and supporting documentation.
• Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration through structured workshops and meetings to ensure integrated and holistic improvements.

Quality Control, Compliance, and Confidential Information Management

• Ensure that improvement initiatives adhere to internal policies, best practice standards, and governance frameworks.
• Manage confidential documentation and sensitive information with strict professionalism and care.

Reporting, Documentation, and Analysis

• Produce structured reports on performance metrics, project progress, and strategic outcomes.
• Provide analytical insights to support planning, decision-making, and performance evaluations.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

• Implement structured feedback mechanisms across stakeholder groups.
• Use insights gathered to refine processes and enhance future strategic initiatives

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field (BCom Honours advantageous or equivalent per NQF).

Experience

• Minimum of 3–4 years professional experience in analytical, project management, or strategy‑focused roles.
• Demonstrated experience in:
  • Advanced analytical problem-solving
  • Strategy development and execution
  • Project management (advantageous)
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Data analysis, insights generation, and reporting
  • Quality control and compliance oversight
  • Coordination of cross-functional workstreams

Technical and Competency Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong capabilities in business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, problem‑solving, process optimisation, and communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and manage conflict when required.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to accurate reporting.
• Willingness to travel when required.
