Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent review and quality assurance on all Human Capital operational activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll inputs, employee lifecycle management, BBBEE records and HR system transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness before approval.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with labour legislation, internal policies, company governance frameworks and Human Capital standards, addressing deviations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Serve as the first-line escalation point for Human Capital operational matters, resolving issues timeously and ensuring only complex or high‑risk concerns are escalated to the Human Capital Business Partner.
- Oversee end‑to‑end Human Capital delivery across multiple business units and geographies, ensuring consistent application of processes, adherence to timelines, service-level compliance, and data integrity across all systems and records.
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance and capability development to Human Capital staff in South Africa and Malawi, ensuring they are equipped to independently manage the full scope of their responsibilities.
- Support and lead operational readiness for internal, statutory and BBBEE audits by maintaining accurate documentation, proactively identifying gaps and ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and enhance Human Capital processes, recommending improvements and supporting implementation to drive operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary operational Human Capital interface for line managers, providing informed advice, supporting decision‑making, and strengthening the relationship between Human Capital and the business.
- Promote a strong culture of governance, compliance and continuous improvement within the Human Capital function.
- Ensure full adherence to SHEQ standards, participate in relevant audits and contribute to the close‑out of corrective actions where Human Capital is involved.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Human Capital, Industrial Psychology or a related field (postgraduate advantageous).
- Registration with the HCPSA as an Industrial Psychologist advantageous.

Qualification to administer psychometric assessments and practical experience in interpreting and applying assessment results advantageous.
- 5–7 years’ experience across multiple Human Capital operational areas.
- Experience in compliance, governance, audit activity and team coaching or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation and Human Capital governance frameworks.
- Valid driver’s licence, own transport and medical fitness to drive.
