AECI Plant Health invites suitably qualified internal candidates to apply for the position of Customer Services Co‑ordinator, based at the Chloorkop depot within the Supply Chain function. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective management of logistics and customer service support for Crop Advisors and depots, while maintaining high operational, compliance and safety standards.
 

Key Responsibilities

The successful incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:

  • Responding to stock requests received from Crop Advisors and depots.
  • Executing efficient, accurate ordering and expediting of stock orders.
  • Communicating and following up on stock requests with Crop Advisors and depot personnel.
  • Performing buying tasks, including placing purchase orders, sending orders to suppliers, following up on deliveries, and providing feedback on order status.
  • Monitoring excess stock levels at Crop Advisor warehouses.
  • Following up on GRNs related to direct deliveries and stock transfers (GITs).
  • Participating in stock takes and managing stock returns from depots (drawbacks).
  • Providing relief support to other team members when required.
  • Maintaining accurate filing and scanning of documentation.
  • Investigating customer complaints, ensuring continuous communication throughout the resolution process, and reporting outcomes to management.
  • Adhering to internal control policies, SHEQ requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards in areas of responsibility.
  • Performing any additional lawful ad hoc tasks as directed by the Warehouse Team Leader or management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12, with a diploma in Logistics, Procurement, Operations and/or Supply Chain.
  • A minimum of three years’ hands‑on experience in logistics, distribution, production or warehousing preferably within the agricultural chemical industry.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service.
  • Sound knowledge of the agricultural chemical industry, products and their application would be advantageous.
  • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Syspro (SAP and .NET knowledge advantageous).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including hazardous chemicals and road transportation regulations.
