AECI Plant Health is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially minded professional to join its Sales and Commercial team as a Commercial Coordinator. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient procurement, stock management, pricing, and governance of the company's in-house manufactured product range.

The successful incumbent will provide end-to-end coordination across procurement, inventory management, production planning, distribution, and commercial support functions to ensure product availability, supply continuity, cost efficiency, and compliance with procurement governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

In-House Stock Management

The incumbent will:

  • Coordinate bulk orders and stock allocations for in-house manufactured products.
  • Manage product availability and pricing enquiries from Crop Advisors, Regional Sales Managers, and depots.
  • Facilitate stock movements between depots and distribution centres to optimise inventory levels.
  • Monitor aged stock and drive corrective actions to minimise exposure.
  • Liaise with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure appropriate stock allocation and distribution.
  • Maintain inventory master data, product statuses, inventory codes, and stock-related system information.
  • Support stock revaluations and associated financial processes.
  • Review production output against planning requirements and assist with quality investigations and customer complaints.

Pricing and Commercial Support

The incumbent will:

  • Maintain and update in-house product pricing within applicable systems.
  • Support special costing approvals and transfer pricing processes.
  • Assist with product pricing queries and cost management activities.

Procurement and Governance

The incumbent will:

  • Review purchase requisitions and support procurement governance processes.
  • Approve purchase orders within delegated authority limits.
  • Maintain procurement compliance documentation and governance records.
  • Support import compliance administration and supplier governance activities.
  • Provide back-up support to key commercial and procurement functions when required.

Product Portfolio Support

The incumbent will:

  • Collaborate with Product Portfolio Managers to align procurement activities with product strategies and launch plans.
  • Provide stock availability and supply pipeline information to support portfolio planning and decision-making.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Grade 12 together with a post-matric qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Proven experience working with stock management or ERP systems such as Syspro or SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance, inventory control, and supply chain principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of agricultural inputs, chemical distribution, import regulations, or manufacturing environments will be advantageous.
