Accounts Payable Clerk

AECI Plant Health is seeking a suitably experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support the Finance Department through the accurate, timeous and compliant processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations and payments. The role is critical in maintaining supplier account integrity, supporting effective cash-flow management and ensuring adherence to internal controls and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Perform supplier account reconciliations and resolve invoice and payment queries.

• Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payments.

• Maintain accurate creditor master data and supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance with VAT requirements and financial controls relating to accounts payable.

• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and queries.

• Support month-end closing activities and provide audit support as required.

• Maintain proper filing, record keeping and adherence to SHEQ requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Diploma or certificate in Finance or Accounting (advantageous)

• 3–5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or creditors function

• Working knowledge of Syspro (advantageous)

• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel

• Sound understanding of accounts payable processes and VAT principles
