Emulsion Tanker Operator

LOCATION: MMG - Khoemacau Copper Mine

CONTRACT TYPE: 5 year Fixed Term Contract

1. REPORTING LINE

The Emulsion Tanker Operator will report to the Technical Officer.

2. CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To safely and efficiently load, transport and deliver emulsion products to various Khoemacau portals while complying with company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.

3. SCOPE AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The core responsibilities and accountabilities include:

• Delivery of emulsion to various Khoemacau Copper Mine portals
• Ensure loaded consignment is secure and comply with all safety and legal requirements
• Perform pre-trip, on-route and post trip inspection of the vehicle
• Report all defects to Maintenance department
• Keep the vehicle clean and good condition
• Comply with rules and regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance i.e greasing, pump inspections
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

5. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

The incumbent should have at least the following:

• At least a Cambridge O’Level/BGCSE/IGCSE certificate.
• Valid Extra Heavy-Duty license (EC)
• Valid PRDP license (Dangerous goods)
• Dangerous Good Transpiration Certificate 
• At least 5 years’ experience, 2 of which are in a Mining environment 
• Must be a Motswana
• Must be able to speak and write both Setswana and English
