Purpose of the job:
To perform maintenance, quality control checks and calibration of the Mobile Manufacturing Units:
Required output: Functional
- Calibration of MMUs
- Adherence to calibration of MMUs, Scales and lifting equipment
- Field support in other regions
- On-bench calibration of MMUs and quality support
- Perform engineering inspections, identify problems area and implement proactive maintenance
- Be actively involved in World class initiatives
- Perform safety and health inspections and implement corrective action
- Perform any other related tasks as may be required from time to time
- Ensure that quality specifications are met and operational losses are minimized
Qualification, Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Matric
- Qualified Artisan (Trade Test/Red Seal) Electrical or Mechanical
- Pneumatic, electronics and hydraulic experience will be an advantage
- Drive Licence
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (preferably mining environment)
- Must be able to perform overtime duties and standby
- PLC fault-finding experience will be an advantage
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, as dealing with customers will be an essential part of the duties
