POSITION DETAILS

 

Contract Type: 10 Months Fixed Term Contract

Location: Plutus Project - Khoemacau Copper Mine Site.

 

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

 

To proactively maintain Fixed and Mobile equipment through performing planned services, inspections and timely attending to breakdowns for high machine availability and reliability.

 

SCOPE AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

The core responsibilities and accountabilities include:

 

  • Fixed and mobile equipment maintenance, service and inspections
  • Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU’s) Calibrations
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with engineering or capital projects management
  • Maintenance related monthly reporting to Maintenance Manager and Technical Officer
  • Maintenance scheduling and forecasting
  • Equipment breakdown repairs and planned maintenance
  • Critical and other spares management
  • Equipment availabilities management
  • Carry out maintenance of light duty vehicles
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager implement the maintenance strategy and manage assets
  • Maintenance related store keeping
  • Any other maintenance related duties

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

 

The incumbent should have at least the following:

  • At least a Diploma or NCC in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar, explosives equipment maintenance, environment
  • Knowledge of MMU’s and pump maintenance
  • Valid class B driver’s license
  • Experience in maintenance of explosives storage facilities
  • Must be a Motswana
  • Must be able to speak Setswana and English fluently
  • Knowledge and experience in AECI products is an added advantage
